What Is Abhijit Muhurat?
Abhijit Muhurat is the most powerful auspicious time window of the day in Vedic astrology. The word Abhijit means victorious or undefeated. Muhurat means an auspicious moment. Together, Abhijit Muhurat is the time of day when any new work begun is considered protected and destined to succeed.
It occurs every day — approximately 48 minutes around solar noon. It is the 8th of 15 equal Muhurats between sunrise and sunset. Lord Vishnu is said to preside over this period. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Shiva used the power of Abhijit Muhurat to defeat the demon Tripurasura.
